Mission

The Kentucky Learning Depot is a single-point-of-entry repository of high-quality digital content aligned with standards and competencies for educators and learners in Kentucky.

• To include partners who bring resources, contributors who bring content, and participants who use the content

The Kentucky Learning Depot is a digital library and a learning community that allows educators to share engaging, quality, and standards-based digital content to improve their courses. The depot provides a single point of entry where users can browse, search, upload, download, update, rate, and reuse learning content.

The Southern Regional Education Board (SREB) is leading this effort via Sharable Content Object Repositories for Education (SCORE) so that all educators in the 16 member states can share learning content to improve teaching and learning.

The Depot is membership-based; please contact your distance learning coordinators, chief information officers or chief academic officers on obtaining user accounts.

• The Depot provides Kentucky educators a centralized place to go to obtain rich, quality learning content to enhance courses, improve teaching, and engage students in learning.
• The Depot provides educators an environment to build a learning community where they can rate and comment on the content to help improve content quality and achieve best practices. 
• The Depot allows educators to rethink and retool course content and design to take advantage of the new digital media for customizable and personalized learning anytime, anywhere.
• The Depot allows educators to share learning content and avoid duplication of efforts.
• The Depot achieves cost savings by making available learning content that is created by and for Kentucky educators and that can be used, reassembled, and reused.
• The Depot facilitates transformation in teaching and learning for developmental education and Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) with rich, engaging learning content
• The Depot enables Kentucky educators to share and use all the learning content created by other educators  in SREB's 16 member states and beyond.
